Painting is one of those activities that has been with the human race perhaps since ancient times -- archaeologists have unearthed all sorts of ancient structures which have been painted. That shouldn't come as any surprise, since as human beings we have a need for color and beauty in our lives.In the past, painting of walls, ceilings and other structures was a mundane, boring and messy task. For example, you can purchase auto touch up paint to precisely match the color of your automobile -- when it is dry it is almost undetectable. Stainless steel paint is also available to paint stainless steel metal surfaces -- some formulations are even designed to withstand high temperatures on stoves, outdoor grills, and fireplaces.The painting of floors -- in particular basement and garage floors -- can pose special problems. Have you ever painted a concrete floor, only to see the paint "soak in" after a while? Well, it is now possible to purchase specially-formulated concrete floor paint that will not soak in and which will provide a hard-wearing surface. Speaking of hard-wearing -- epoxy floor paint is now available in special formulations which require no prior application of a primer coat. Epoxy floor paints will give you some of the most durable -- and beautiful -- concrete floors you could ever imagine.I think you'll agree that, indeed, the world of paint and painting technology is truly advancing.
